Baby Shower!!

This last weekend was my baby shower. It was a really fun shower put on by some of my good friends here in Colorado. We played a lot of fun games and I received a lot of cool gifts. The pictures are out of order. Enjoy!

The Growing Belly

It is a little weird to post pictures of your belly but it is neat to see how it has grown. I am in the third trimester now and just waiting to get bigger. I am not sure how I am going to function. That is one reason I decided to chop my hair. I have wanted to before I got pregnant but never did. I wish I had more time to take on myself but life is too busy. I figure it is going to get busier as I become a mom, well a working mom at that. I absolutely love it though and I found a good hair salon too.

IT"S A Boy!

We found out on 9/10/10 that we are having a boy. He was very active in the ultrasound, would not stop moving around. He even waved at us in one of the pictures. He did not hold back showing us he was a boy, there is no guessing. I am glad we found out what we were having, it has made it so fun. We celebrated that night by going out to dinner and registering at Babies R Us and Target that weekend. I was on cloud nine. Steve is very excited as well. It was fun to see him look like a baby. All the previous ultrasounds, he was very small and did not look like a baby. We could not be happier. Boys are great and I am so excited to meet him. The due date is still 1/28/2011. Since the ultrasound, I have had more fun than I thought I would shopping for a boy. The pictures are small but this is what Steve put together with the ultrasound pictures.

WERE PREGNANT!!

Steve and I are expecting our first baby together. I am about 17 1/2 weeks and due around 1/28/2011. We feel very lucky for this new addition to our family. After a year of trying by ourselves, we had no success. We ended up doing fertility treatments for about 6 months before we got pregnant. Compared to a lot of people out there who have been struggling to get pregnant for years, a year & 6 months does not sound so bad. It is a very hard thing to go through no matter how long you do it. I think the hardest part was not knowing if it would work. After many pregnancy test came back negative, we finally got a positive. All I could do is stare at it. I kept going back to the bathroom to look at it to make sure it didn't change. I could go into everything I had to do with the treatments but that would be long and boring. It was worth it and I could not be more excited. We find out in two weeks, on 9/10/10, what we are having. I am so excited, I feel like it will never come.
Here's what we have so far for the baby. We were going to buy a new crib but some friends of ours were getting rid of one of their cribs that was given to them. They asked us if we wanted it. It is a great crib and we already have it set up in our room. That is were the baby will sleep until it starts to grow out of it. Our extra bedroom in our house is down stairs. Since we have a master sweet, we have plenty of room. For my birthday, Steve's parents bought me a stroller and a car seat. Steve insisted on having a girl car seat but we will have enough time to take it back to the store if we are having a boy. Looking forward to finding out what we are having so we can do more shopping and register for baby things. Will post some belly pictures soon.

Its that time again

It's time to get out the gardening tools, shovels, and potting soil. Here are a few flowers that are starting to bloom out front. We planted seeds in March and have some really good starts already. We have pumpkin, watermelon, corn, tomato, and peas. We are building a fence in the backyard before we plant them. This way the dogs will not get to our garden like Honey did last year. I love this time of season, I love to plant a garden and watch it grow.

March Storm

Just when you thought Spring was coming, winter storm hits. Typical Colorado. The dogs had a lot of fun playing in all the snow.

Here are some more pictures of Abby. She weights 29 pounds and that was on 3/13/10 when I took her to the vet. She is not too far away from Honey. She is actually almost as tall as Honey. I think in a few weeks she will be as tall as Honey and in a few months taller than her. She is 4 months going on 5. She is getting rid of all her baby teeth. It still creeps me out when I see blood on her toys, I think something is wrong with her. She is a good puppy and everyone loves her.

This is why we need a bigger bed.

This is when we first got her.

She loves to sleep in our pillows.

Meet the new member of our family!

This is Abby!

Steve and I had thought about getting another dog for Honey for a while now. I told him if we do I want a purebred lab puppy. He decided to put our name on the purebred list at the Dumb Friends League. This is were we got Honey. Usually it takes a month or two before they have any dogs. Two days later we got the call about Abby. I contemplated it all the way home from work that day. Do we need another dog, ect, ect. Well, we decided to head down to see her. She was, is, very energetic but very lovable. We fell in love with her and brought her home the next day. She has kept us very busy but we are having a lot of fun with her. Every time I take her on a walk people want to pet her. I even had a lady in my neighborhood chase me down because her kids wanted to pet her. There are so many cute puppy things I missed with Honey. For example, her sea legs, she is still learning how to use them. Somtimes when she goes to jump on our bed and only gets half way up, then I help her with the rest and her cute little puppy walk to just name a few.

She and Honey actually are getting along very well together. This video I posted is when we first got her but they are doing a lot better. Honey is still not willing to share everything with Abby but they love to run in the backyard together and play. With the help from Honey, Abby is just about house trained with our dog doors.

Abby is a black purebred lab and she is 4 months old. Her paws are huge so I know she will get big. She loves to snuggle up to you and also lick your face (a lot). Steve wanted to call her obnoxious because it fit her perfectly but we decided on Abby. For some reason, I am not able to post any pictures right now but I will post more of her later.

House Updates

This was my Christmas present from Steve's parents. They gave Steve and I a box full of money to buy whatever we wanted for Christmas. I have wanted a head board for our bed since we have been married and furniture that actually matched. I found this set on Walmart's website. The best part was shipping was free since we shipped it to the store. It is not complete yet, I am still very determined of getting rid of Steve's "huge" dresser. I call it the beast. I am happy with my new furniture. My next project is to paint our room and start on our bathroom. One room at a time; years from now we'll have it all done just in time to change it all over again. LOL

This was my present to myself with my Christmas bonus this past year. Our old faucet was
ugly and molding. It is so useful to have a goose net faucet, a soap dispenser, and a sprayer that actually works. It funny when you buy a house, things like this are very exciting.

Marshall Arts-Green Belt

Mychael is a pretty busy kid. Other than school, he is in gymnastics and Marshall Arts. Here are a few pictures and one video when he moved up to a green belt. So proud of him.

Valentines Day

We decided to have a quit dinner at home this year for Valentines Day. Usually we end up celebrating on Friday. This Friday I had a youth activity for my church and did not get home until after 8pm. When I opened the garage to pull my car in Steve made me this sign. Then he made a very tasty dinner of steak and potato's, my favorite. He really made it a great Valentines. What a thoughtful husband I have, I am grateful to have him in my life.

Sledding in February

One weekend we decided to go sledding. We only had one sled. Trying to find a sled in February is not the best idea but we were able to find a small one which ended up being very fun. Of course, we took the camera. We had a lot of fun and afterwards went home to have hot chocolate. Honey had a good time chasing after us as we went down the hill. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Mykie was using his sled as a snowboard.
